THE CANYONS

The Canyons is envisioned as a nature-forward community that integrates residential living with a carefully preserved landscape framework. The master plan emphasizes a cohesive system of parks, expansive areas of protected open space, a highly connected multi-use trail network, and thoughtfully located amenity centers—each designed to work within and enhance the site’s existing natural character.

As a high-profile, large-scale development, The Canyons has required a comprehensive and phased entitlement approach with the City of Castle Pines, including Planned Development (PD) amendments, preliminary planning approvals, site improvement plans, and final plats. This coordinated review process has been essential in establishing a consistent development standard while ensuring the long-term vision for preserved natural systems and high-quality community design is successfully implemented.

Sage has been engaged since 2015 as the project’s site planner and landscape architect, providing continuity through the entitlement and design phases and helping guide the project through a complex regulatory framework while maintaining the integrity of its overarching design intent
