THE CANYONS
The concept of The Canyons is to create a natural-looking community for residents, blending preserved open space with thoughtfully planned development. The site is home to three parks, expanses of protected open space, a well-connected trail system, and an amenity center that successfully navigates the intricacy of designing with natural beauty in mind. The community includes over 2,000 lots with a diverse range of housing types and lot sizes, including single-family attached product, apartments, and alley-loaded residential neighborhoods. It also anticipates a future school site, further supporting its long-term vision as a complete and connected community.

The amenity center serves as a key focal point for residents, featuring a pool, clubhouse, and coffee shop that enhance everyday livability and community gathering opportunities.

The Canyons is a high-profile project requiring coordinated planned development amendments, preliminary plans, site improvement plans, and plats with the City of Castle Pines to help establish a standard for future growth. Sage Design Group has been engaged since 2015 as the site planner and landscape architect, supporting the project through its continued evolution and implementation.
