Sage Design Group supported targeted campus improvements at Colorado Academy by enhancing both the functionality and character of key outdoor spaces, including updates to the school’s parking areas and surrounding landscape. The project focused on refining circulation and improving the day-to-day experience for students, staff, and visitors, while integrating thoughtful planting and site design into previously utilitarian spaces.

Working within an active campus environment, Sage approached the parking lot improvements with an emphasis on clarity, safety, and efficiency—organizing vehicular movement, reinforcing pedestrian connections, and introducing landscape elements that soften the visual impact of paved areas. Strategic planting was used not only to provide shade and seasonal interest, but also to define edges, guide circulation, and create a more cohesive relationship between built and natural elements on campus.

In adjacent landscape areas, updates were designed to complement the existing campus character while improving long-term performance and maintenance. Through careful coordination with school stakeholders and the broader consultant team, Sage Design Group delivered solutions that balanced practical needs with a more welcoming and intentional campus environment.
